About our project...
The members of the local Red Cross Youth Club have launched a rather unique fundraiser for their 2009-2010 school year project. Inspired by Kyle MacDonald, a blogger who bartered his way from a single red paper clip to a house in a series of trades; the youth club members are going to trade up to a donation. Each member has been given a Red Cross pen to start with and they will, through a series of trades, collect items that can be raffled off during the Red Cross March raffle. The money from the raffle goes to help support the Red Cross mission, which is: to provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond emergencies.
